Liquid AG Mineral Complete

Is our premier liquid Plant Derived Trace Mineral and Fulvic Acid product designed specifically for use as an additive to fertilizer premixes, or sprayed directly onto plants and crops.

LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete is a liquid fertilizer, created from cold water-extract Fulvic Acid. It can be safely used around children and pets. The product is OMRI listed, without fillers, binders or other additives. It can be safely applied at any time during the growing season without risk of burning, as well as an additive to fertilizer premixes.

What is LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete? The Fulvic Acid in LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete is extracted with purified cold water from an ancient organic humus bead. This living plant matter contains nutritious trace elements that plants need. This is a safe and organic method that maintains all the needed ingredients throughout the whole process.

Others may extract the Fulvic Acid through an alternative sulfuric Acid method. This creates a high-Sulphur, low carbon, and low Fulvic Acid soil, which is a warning sign that the product is subordinate. At LifeSPRINGS, we make sure that all our methods are professionally and cleanly done to insure the best results.

The benefits of using LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete is the Fulvic Acid triggers metabolism, respiration, protein enhancement and enzyme activity. It also helps with chlorophyll synthesis, drought tolerance, and aids in copy yield. This essential acid has excellent trace minerals, and may aid in the uptake of micronutrients, Fulvic acid works to carry the nutrients into the plants.

LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete is without question the finest Plant Derived Mineral with Fulvic Acid composition product available that we sell as a soil amendment. It is best applied on soils with high pH, low organic matter, and elevated salts. It can be mixed with most liquid fertilizers.

LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete is not a fertilizer for the most part; it is a soil conditioner with some surfactant properties. As you can see by the accompanying analysis LifeSPRINGS Liquid AG Mineral Complete does provide small amounts of micronutrients.

Below is my standard educational draft to get people an overview of what we have and how it works in the soil.

Forage test with Utah State University with a heavy rate of Humate. Some interesting observations we found including increased germination rates. Sunflower grew in the plots with Humate and not in the control plots. The sunflower seed was wild and germinated in the Humate plot because the Humate mitigated the salts enough to promote germination and growth. The plot was left in and we discovered that 10 years later the Humate portion was still visible.

Humate is not a fertilizer, consider it is a catalyst to stimulate microbes and help to make other fertilizers more available to the plant. It is best applied on marginal soils with high pH, high salt, low OM, and reduced nutrient holding and availability. Rich loamy soils with high OM are not good candidates for Humate.

To better understand how LifeSPRINGS Products works with fertilizers and plant nutrients you need to first discuss soil organic matter. All of the products we market are based on mined humic shale. Humic shale contains many organic acids that are part of a normal soil environment.  Most people talk about the organic matter of soils as a group without discussing humic acids, which are the the end result of decomposition. Below is a quick overview of soil organic matter composition and the results of the humification process.

Generally speaking, most organic matter is removed from the soil and not returned which causes a decrease in the soil organic matter.   This is especially prevalent in new house construction the organic matter degrades from plant residue to active organic matter on into the passive organic matter grouping. If the organic matter is not returned the cycle is stunted and you see a decrease in the total soil organic matter in cultivated agriculture.

Organic matter can be separated into two main components: the active fraction, which turns over in period of 10 to 25 years and a passive fraction which turns over in hundreds of years. The active fraction is the part responsible for nutrient cycling and is composed of living organisms, their metabolites and decaying plant and animal residues.

The passive fraction is the more humified material that has undergone mainly reactions that condense and polymerize humic substances that are resistant to microbial degradation. Some call it geologic carbon or sequestered carbon. The degradation of the two fractions on cultivated agriculture soil is indicated in the image below.

Most methods of adding organic matter are done with green manure, compost, or animal waste. All of which contribute to the plant residue, which is important to increasing the humification process of the soil. A large portion of the residue added is digested by microbes and respired as C02. The percentages respired are shown indicated below ranging from 60 – 80% loss.

Soil organic matter is perhaps the single most important indicator of soil quality and productivity. Increasing the organic matter and humic components is important for the following reasons:

  • Benefits plants by providing storage for nutrients and water
  • Binds soil particles together so that they resist erosion
  • Improves soil structure and tilth which allows water, air and nutrients to move readily to plants
  • Binds pollutants such as pesticides, organic wastes and heavy metals
  • Part of the soil cation exchange complex which holds many nutrients and resists losses to leaching

This is where LifeSPRINGS Products are extremely effective. Adding a concentrated Fulvic acid is a good way to quickly enhance the passive fraction of a soils organic matter. This can be done in conjunction with any type of commercial or organic fertilization program.

They do not leach and can remain active in your soils for decades. In a nutshell, all our products are based on one of the three core products mentioned above. Any nutrients added are intended to compliment the soil conditioning properties along with binding that nutrient to carbon for better utilization.
